The Menlung La shone in the morning sun, seen on the trail from Dongang Kharka to the trail from the Daldung La. I decided not climb to the Menlung La for its spectacular view of Menlungtse in Tibet because I could see from the close up telephoto image that the pass was choked with snow and ice.
